For those interested in a strong demand high reward profession as a hypnotherapist, then you need to go to the right hypnotherapy school to get your training. There's a fallacy that hypnosis or hypnotherapy is a big joke, but the reality is, it requires some heavy training and arduous coursework. Be reasonably sure to only work with companies that are approved by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners which is the only major Hypnosis Certification that requires it's list of whitelisted schools to carry with it the appropriate state licensing specifications for it's students. This organization will help you reduce your pool of potential candidate hypnotherapy training program possibilities and only pick and pick from ones that have reached an acceptable level of quality and commitment to it's classmen.
Usually the amount of hours of instruction required by the A.C.H.E or American Council of Hypnotist Examiners is 200 classroom hours. That is 200 hours of class work only, and does not include the time you spend studying outside of class. The requirements are 300 hours for those seeking certification as a Certified Clinical Hynotherapist. Please check with the A.C.H.E and it's whitelisted schools for specific requirements as part of their hypnotherapy course work and curriculum. |
