1. Poker legends Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan each bagged their tenth bracelets in 2005. Phil Hellmuth is next in line with nine in his trophy case.

2. Chris Moneymaker won $2.5 mil in 2003, Greg Raymer took home $5 mil in 2004, and Aussie Joe Hachem took home $7.5 million in 2005. The 2006 top prize may hit $10 million.

3. The winner of the first Heads Up Championship was Phil Hellmuth. At one point, in the final head-to-head match with Chris Jesus Ferguson, Hellmuth fell off his chair in agony over a bad beat.

4. Winner of the second Heads Up Championship. Well, Chris Jesus Ferguson once again came in second. This time it was won by Ted Forrest.

5. Bluff Magazine visited him at his home in Vegas. They found him in his boxer shorts playing online poker. They called Antonio The Magician Esfandiari, "one part Aladdin, one part Bugs Bunny.

6. Richard Lederer, the father of poker pros Annie Duke and Howard Lederer, broadcasts his NPR program, A Way with Words, from San Diego.

7. Steve Kaufman is a Professor of Bible and Cognate Literature at Cincinnati's Hebrew Union College (HUC), has a Ph. D. from Yale, and is a rabbi who faced off against Chris "Jesus" Ferguson at the final table in the Championship Event of the 2000 WSOP. Steve came in 3rd.

8. A. W. (Tony) Vidmer directed the movie, Stuey, starring Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos in the starring role. Tony went the film festival route, showing it in many parts of the country, building an audience and shopping for a distributor. It was picked up by New Line Cinema, retitled, High Roller, put out on a DVD, and was shown on the Starz TV channel.

9. Daniel Negreanu started out as a pool hustler (he is still one of those), as did Amarillo Slim Preston. He turned to poker and is one of the leading money winners and one of the luminaries of the poker world today.

10. Lucky You is a movie set for release in 2006. It stars Robert Duvall and Eric Bana from Munich. It also stars a long list of poker greats including Jack Binion, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Hoyt Corkins, Eli Elezra, Antonio Esfandiari, Sam Farha, Maureen Feduniak, Chris Ferguson, Ted Forrest, Phil Hellmuth, Chau Giang, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman, Dan Harrington, John Hennigan, Karina Jett, John Juanda, Jason Lester, Erick Lindgren, Minh Ly, Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, David Oppenheim, Max Pescatori, Matt Savage, Erik Seidel, Huck Seed, Mimi Tran, Cyndy Violette, Marsha Waggoner and Robert Williamson III.
